First Annual Governor's Conference on Covering the Uninsured: Tools for Building Solutions for Virginia's Uninsured
In response to Cover the Uninsured Week 2003, the national effort to draw attention to the many who lack health insurance coverage, Virginia held the First Annual Governor's Conference on Covering the Uninsured: Tools for Building Solutions for Virginia's Uninsured at the Williamsburg Marriott in Williamsburg, Virginia on March 10, 2003. Standing room only attendance of over 500 individuals at this conference spoke to the urgency of this issue for Virginians.

Second Annual Governor's Conference on Covering the Uninsured: Making a Business Case for Providing Health Care Coverage to Virginia's Working Uninsured
In conjunction with Cover the Uninsured Week 2004, Virginia held the Second Annual Governor's Conference on Covering the Uninsured: Making a Business Case for Providing Health Coverage to Virginia's Working Uninsured at the National Conference Center in Lansdowne, Virginia on June 6 - 7, 2004. With over 300 individuals in attendance, this conference focused on the development of partnerships between healthcare providers and the business community to seek solutions for providing health coverage for Virginia’s working uninsured.
